Awesome post Don….you have posted most questions we have asked at some point of time in our lives depending on our circumstances…yes, our God longs to talk with us and loves to do so as He did with His friends in the past such as Abraham and David and Daniel. He longs to also be our friend too!

I will say God speaks to us . He speaks to us through his word the BIBLE. He speaks to us through people, books, nature, sermons, songs . Yes I have heard his audible voice and It was clear to me. There wasn’t anyone else at home and I just knew it was him. He can speak to you in a still small voice. He speaks to all but many do not hear him because the voices of the world drown his voice. When we allow God to speak into our lives by submitting to Him and asking for his guidance in our lives he will speak to us and tell us which way we should go and then all will go well with us. He doesn’t force us but he is waiting to talk to us daily just as earthly parents wait to hear what their children got to tell them. God is waiting for his children . He loves to communicate with us and isn’t prayer all about communicating with God? God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit as well. HE speaks to us through dreams and visions. God speaks to us in various forms. Conclusion: Yes God does speak to us.

Yes, God communicates us in ways which we can easily understand. It’s not at all complicated as we think. It’s simple and beautiful and sweet voice. Yes, our God is a speaking God. Yes our God speaks with a purpose.

Our God is a ‘speaking God’. He spoke creation into existence. Right from Genesis to Revelation we hear His voice. God speaks to us in various ways Hebrews 1:1,2. But He never speaks to us without a purpose. God does speak to us every day. If our minds & hearts are attuned to God,
we will hear His voice. It needn’t always be audible. The sweet Psalmist of Israel wrote, ‘He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name sake’ – Psalm 23:3. If walking with God takes precedent over everything in our lives, ( it’s a glorious existence) we will surely hear a voice behind us saying, ” This is the way, walk in it”. If we permit the clamour of the out side world to clutter our minds & hearts, then that will become an impediment in hearing God.

Yes Sr Soumya, I liked that word ‘noise’. Exactly! It is because of the ‘noise’ that we sometime are unable to hear His ‘voice’ clearly. Let us learn to share with God and learn day by day to hear from Him.

Wow..A beautiful thought indeed..
The most wonderful thing about hearing His voice is that the ‘How He speaks’ is very amazing–sometimes its through His Word, sometimes through a friend, sometimes through a song, sometimes through the stillness, sometimes its the creation (the clouds, the rain) speaking out His very existence.. How comforting to keep listening to Him!!

We can see from numerous instances that God actually hears our prayers and He is ever willing to talk to us . But many times we don’t lend ears . Before conversing with God , we feel that sharing with other friends can solve our problems quickly . Also sometimes we are unable to hear God’s voice because we have allowed a lot of noise to surround us and keep us occupied .

God is Holy .unless having holiness we cant see or hear God.bible says,blessed those who pure in heart ,they will see God.this is the reason to unable to hear God
