As we reflect on this occasion, our hearts overflow with gratitude and thanksgiving to God for all His wonderful ways in which He has led us till now. We would like to share some of the reasons why we can thank the Lord.

1. Children are a Blessing from the Lord

The Bible says, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him” (Psalm 127:3). As parents, we can desire, plan, and pray, but it is ultimately God who gives life to a new born. We are grateful that the Lord has entrusted us with the responsibility to nurture these two precious children.

2. God is Our Protector

As parents, our top priority is to keep our children safe. We put in all our effort to ensure their well-being, but ultimately, it is God who protects them. As the psalmist writes, “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone” (Psalm 91:11-12). We are thankful to God for keeping our children safe till now.

3. Family and Friends Support

We are blessed with wonderful family members, relatives, friends, church members, and colleagues who have gone out of their way to support us in our journey of parenthood. Their love, care, and encouragement have been a source of strength and joy for us. We know that it is God’s provision to have such a supportive community around us.

4. Prayer Support

Lastly, we are grateful for the prayer support that we have received from people around us. We know that many have been praying for our family’s well-being, and we have experienced God’s grace and mercy in countless ways. The Bible says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). We are thankful for the power of prayer and for those who have prayed for us.

As we celebrate our toddler’s third birthday and our newborn’s three months, we are reminded of God’s goodness, faithfulness, and love. We are grateful for the precious gifts of our children and for the many blessings that God has bestowed upon our family. Our hearts are filled with thanksgiving and praise to the Lord.

Prayer for Those Desiring a Family

For those who are longing to start a family or have children, we want to lift you up in prayer. We know that it can be a difficult and trying season, but we want to encourage you with the promise found in Psalm 113:9, “He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the Lord!”

We believe that God is faithful to His promises, and we pray that you will experience His peace and presence as you wait upon Him. May you find comfort in knowing that the Lord hears your prayers and sees the desires of your heart.

As you seek the Lord, remember the words of Psalm 37:4, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” We pray that you would find your delight in Him, and that your heart would be filled with joy and hope.

Father, we ask that you would bless those who are hoping to start a family. We pray that you would open the doors for them to welcome children into their lives, and that they would experience the joy and fulfillment of parenthood. We trust in your perfect timing and provision, and we thank you for your faithfulness.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
