One of the last words of Jesus “it’s finished” in Hebrew it means “Tetelestai – The Sacrifice Is Accomplished ”
Every Jewish person there would have instantly recognized this word as the equivalent of a Hebrew phrase that was used in the Old Testament sacrificial system. Each year, on the Jewish holiday called The Day of Atonement, the High Priest would enter into the temple and make a special sacrifice for the sins of the people of Israel. As soon as the priest had killed the animal, he would emerge from the place of sacrifice and declare to the waiting crowd “it is finished” in Hebrew. In this sacrifice, all the sins of Israel were symbolically placed on the lamb that was killed and punished in their place. Yet the Bible teaches that this sacrificial system was never really complete or finished because the sacrifice of that lamb was imperfect and temporary. But when Jesus died on the cross, he became the perfect and final sacrifice for all sin. The Book of Hebrews describes how Jesus was the ultimate Lamb of God and by his sacrifice, the work of forgiveness was finally complete.

It’s then that I see once again God’s abundant love for me. Where I once feared punishment and repercussions, I now find forgiveness, love and a better version of myself. 1. For ppl who are going to get married(even, I am single ), I request you to pray and seek GOD to "prepare you and the person who is coming into ur life". The circumstances which we face after marriage will vary person to person and GOD prepares us for them and the family that we are going to. 2. Try to empathize with the person but never criticize. 3. When some problems come or when you dislike something about your partner or when u had any argument or anger on your partner for what they done, don't try to analyze the things but try to understand them by entering into the other person's shoes. It resolves maximum problems. 4. Everyone has their own way of expressing feelings, accept them. 5. For men, kindly remember one thing. A girl goes through a different and mixed kind of emotions(excited, fearful...) when she is going to be married/getting pregnant. Kindly understand her feelings and give her the freedom to express and support her. 6. Show your strengths to strengthen someone but never show ur strength to weaken someone. 7. Sometimes all we need to give to our partner in times of troubles is not solutions but our ears to hear. Listen to them and pray together.

Amen. 🙂 Also I believe God is personally interested in the messenger also as much as He is in the message. Remember Elijah .. after all the messages he delivered, he was depressed and wished to die, just because he was afraid someone might kill him. But God sent a personal Messenger from heaven to strengthen and direct Elijah to more power and confidence. For that matter I think every messenger at some point crawled into some hope of self pity and powerlessness. But God is faithful to stand by His messenger 🙂

_Evolution is not science_. Natural selection(Darwin) is science, but that’s not evolution.
Archaeological, Paleontological and many evidences support Genesis, not Evolution.

Nice article Donny. Hurts are main problem of people which make us paralize. Through which Satan lays his obstacle. But we have hope in Jesus Christ. Who loved the enemies who rejected him who betrayed him and crucified him. If he is with us we can overcome hurts in our personal life. So we have to take a step of forgiveness and loving our enemies and praying for those who hurt us. Surely his grace is sufficient for us.Hallelujah. people are just obeying the Word Of God.
{Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up, profane, contemptuous of parents, crude, coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers, impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous, ruthless, bloated windbags, *addicted to lust*, and allergic to God. They’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals. Stay clear of these people.

We can learn the ‘smartness’ of the world in cheating the government and use that same ‘smartness’ to advance the Kingdom of God, but not to cheat/harm any one, and also we need to make sure our foundations are built on principles of the Kingdom of God

Liked the perspective on the use of technology for advancing God’s kingdom.
So true that Christians will be considered dumb for abiding by principles. Others will create fake rent receipts and claim deduction on rent supposedly paid to grandfathers and spouses, fake medical bills and investment statements, for saving tax money on salary (these could be the top qualified, polished people in the company). And they will call you foolish for not doing these things, offering the govt a big share in your income. They’ll invent methods to cheat in business practices. However, as children of God, I think we are called to be “blameless and innocent…in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation” 🙂

Yes, bro you are right. Being faithful is very important. God rewards us for being faithful. Even in this same portion, I think Jesus continues with this point, “11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?”
Therefore, the key is to be a faithful steward. Thanks bro for highlighting it. 🙂 God bless you

Well put Donny.. God bless you.. A small thing I would like to add is that for somethings we do, we may not see immediate results.. but as you said we should press on to give it our best.. Like Amy Carmichael said “There have been times of late when I have had to hold on to one text with all my might: “It is required in stewards that a man may be found faithful.” Praise God, it does not say “sucessful.””

Thank you for sharing your thoughts brother Donny on balancing our want for people approval.
I’ve been there many times, struggled with acceptance and found I only need to ensure I make God our Father, happy.
Eventually, who’s with us will stay. Who disagrees with God’s ways, Whom we stand by and follow, will leave.
So be it, I’ve concluded.
Like Jesus said to his 12 disciples, some of us have real life experiences of having wanted to ask those few left who still stick around, “Are you also going to leave (me, like the rest?!!)”
But God’s with me until the end.
Many come and they go, but only few stay with you until the end.
These are treasures.

I used to struggle with the same issue. Then I realized that at the end what really matters is what God tells about me.
When people tell good things about me or appreciate me, I tell them it’s not me but only God, So let’s give honor and praise to Him.
When we focus on how we can bring glory to God through our life, our eyes will be always upon God not anything else. Thus we will be able to be selfless in our heart.
