Yes God creates and gives man the wisdom to discover :) I guess, God enjoys working with people and helping them work and find his greatness through discovery and research. And regarding Book of Job, I have never read with that approach. I will try. Thanks.

Exactly as you said, human scientists can never create anything from vaccum (out of nothing), they will have to depend on the raw materials owned by God 🙂 And the point you said, Wisdom is received, intellect is acquired-that’s true. And as you mentioned, about the ancient architectures, how they built it, is still a wonder to us. So I think God should have provided much more help (wisdom, intelligence, etc) to the architects of those days to build such great buildings.

The thought that God creates and scientists and other people like us just discovers is a very humbling one… No matter how much knowledge we accumulate or how many degrees we collect there is absolutely no reason to take pride in them… because we just discovered something which was already there..:)

As usual Donny great post:) As a researcher in life science I can guarantee you that my knowledge about science has taught me that nothing can be created from scratch by man. Even when we biologists say that we would like to create an entirely new DNA sequence we have to use the raw materials from nature! Often times these terms creation, invention or discovery are misinterpreted just as you have mentioned. But apart from the confidence that one can now create things like God, in my opinion, there is also a play of pride, rebellion and anger that contributes to this sense of not requiring God.
In the final paragraph of your post you mention how research requires advancement hence the time taken to reach this stage. I believe discoveries have happened way before we possessed the technological know-how. Look into your history books. From the perfectly baked brick walled civilisation of Indus valley and the astronomical observatory of Mayans which was way ahead of their time to the gigantic limestone blocks of the pyramid of Giza. So even before the crane was invented we had the technology to build such mammoth structures…amazing! I believe God has a time when he decides to change the seasons of man(Eccl 3:1).
Now we live at the pinnacle of technological advancement some say. This can come only from wisdom. And wisdom is from God the Bible tells us (Colossians 2:3, James 1:5, proverbs 2:6). Wisdom is different from intellect. Wisdom is received, intellect is acquired. I know some would disagree with me. But if we deny the existence of God would He stop existing? Think about it 🙂

Some say, science and religion (generalised view) are contradictory. This blog post is an answer to them.
The book of Job in the Bible, is really a scientific journal if we read it with an approach of a scientist. Many more can be added to this. Great scientists like Sir Issac Newton was a Bible learner.
Yes, God is the Creator of all, and He gives wisdom to make or discover things which makes our life much more easy.
