Thank you for sharing your thoughts brother Donny on balancing our want for people approval.
I’ve been there many times, struggled with acceptance and found I only need to ensure I make God our Father, happy.
Eventually, who’s with us will stay. Who disagrees with God’s ways, Whom we stand by and follow, will leave.
So be it, I’ve concluded.
Like Jesus said to his 12 disciples, some of us have real life experiences of having wanted to ask those few left who still stick around, “Are you also going to leave (me, like the rest?!!)”
But God’s with me until the end.
Many come and they go, but only few stay with you until the end.
These are treasures.

I used to struggle with the same issue. Then I realized that at the end what really matters is what God tells about me.
When people tell good things about me or appreciate me, I tell them it’s not me but only God, So let’s give honor and praise to Him.
When we focus on how we can bring glory to God through our life, our eyes will be always upon God not anything else. Thus we will be able to be selfless in our heart.

I always struggled to strike a balance between leading a testimonial life and not to please people… Pleasing God was the right solution… You had included much more deeper truths to this fact! The fact that God appreciates and we should care about what God says! Good one brother Don!
