Blessed Assurance (In memory of my father)
I dedicate this poem in memory of my father, late Pastor Moses, who passed away on 30th Sep 2019.
With weary eyes and a heart of sorrow
I let you go
You live on in the memories
Of long agoYou held my hand as a child
Walked beside and gently smiled
You let me down the road to Jesus
Before my heart could shatter to piecesYou taught me of His love so divine
Imparted knowledge of His great design
His plan and purpose you taught to fulfil
So His grace and strength will follow stillTwo years and counting
Since that day
My heart is pounding
And so I pray,“Jesus my life my hope
In You, I have some scope
To reach that heavenly bay
Like my father when I finally lay
So help me God to run the race
And walk right into Your embrace”
