I have done everything, but nothing seems to work out! I need help

I did everything I knew. I asked my friends. I googled it out. I followed every tips available on the internet. I read every book available on this. I worked hard. I broke my head, thinking about what more can I do. Yet nothing is working out in my favor. What else can I do?

Once a gentleman came to Jesus. He fell on his knees before him, asking, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
Jesus answered, “You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.’”
He replied, “Teacher, all these I have kept since I was a boy.”
Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth. (Mark 10: 17-22)

This gentleman did everything he knew was right. He followed everything right from his childhood. Yet there was one thing lacking in him. And Jesus revealed to him what it was!
My point here is this:

Even if you have done everything you knew is right, there might still be something lacking in you. Jesus knows it. If you ask Him, Jesus will tell you what it is.

It will not be found anywhere in Google, or anywhere in self-help books or articles. No counselors or preachers or pastors will know it. You have to get it right from the Lord Jesus Christ.
When you have done everything, come to Jesus. Ask Him, “Lord, I have done everything. What more should I do?”
Jesus loves you if you do that!

Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

In another version it says,

Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him

Yes, Jesus feels genuine love for you, when you go behind Him seeking the truth. Jesus Christ is faithful enough to reveal that one thing that you need to do. It is a very specific revelation. It’s just for you.
Unfortunately this gentleman went away sad, because he was not willing to do what Jesus told him to do. Let not that be you.
Now, you know what was lacking in him.

He did everything he knew was right in his own eyes, but he did not do everything that was right in God’s eyes.

That’s where the whole difference lies.
Dear child of God, You might think you have done everything. But it is possible there is something which you are missing out. Come to Jesus. Only Jesus can show it to you. When He shows you, be humble enough to accept it and follow it no matter what! Then you will be highly blessed.
Sit at the feet of Jesus. Look at His face. Ask genuinely, “Lord, please tell me what is lacking in me”. Jesus will reveal it as you wait patiently at His feet. The answer which comes from the Lord will change the whole situation.
