Blessed with a baby boy! The journey begins.

I was waiting to hear the good news from the delivery room. One new message received! It was the photo of our newborn. The first time I saw his face, I was so excited. Suddenly a feeling struck me, one that cannot be described exactly in words, but I knew that it was the feeling of becoming a father. That feeling of being responsible for a little human being just like me.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord. The fruit of the womb is a reward. (Psalms 127:3)

We are thankful to God Almighty for this blessed heritage and this blessed reward.
I was suddenly reminded about how Jesus explains about our Heavenly Father.

Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! (Matt 7:9,10,11)

God has blessed many of us to become human fathers so that we get a glimpse of what fatherhood means – the joy to be a father, the feeling of bringing up a child, the privilege of being loved as a dear father, etc- all these points us to our eternal Father, who is ever loving and ever caring.
Therefore, if human fatherhood means to sacrifice, nurture and care, how much more loving our Father in Heaven is. God our Father is watchful of every moment of ours. He is joyful over our little growth. He nurtures us, provides for us, guides us, and brings us up in His ways.
