10 reasons why the 'new world' is a better place
When situations around press us too hard, it’s human to look for ways to escape.
But in this present crisis, where to escape? It’s trouble everywhere else.
Is there a better place than the existing world?
When Paul thinks about this new world, he can’t wait to be with Christ there!
For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. (Phil 1: 23)
He wants to live, but he also wants to depart from this world and be with Christ, which he says, is far better.
In other words, Paul greatly desires
- To flee from the pressures of this world
- And to be with Jesus Christ in Heaven as early as possible
Why the new world is a better place?

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” (Rev 21: 1 – 5)
You can see at least 10 reasons why the world to come is a better place
1. It’s a new world – A new heaven and a new earth
New means new! You can never imagine how beautiful that world would be because it is prepared by God Himself for the bride of Christ, the chosen people who have given their lives to Jesus Christ.
2. God’s dwelling place is with people
You are going to live with God. You are going to see Him face to face. You are going to be thrilled about being in the awesome presence of God. No satan can come near you. Nobody can attack you. You are in the safest place ever.
3. He will wipe every tear from their eyes
Trust me, you will never cry. You will be happy and joyful always. Jesus Christ will wipe all tears from your eyes forever.
4. There will be no more death
You will not hear any news of death anymore. No corona death toll. No cancer. No virus. No sickness.
5. There will be no more mourning
There will be no grief or sadness or sorrow.
6. There will be no more crying
You will find no reason to cry there.
7. There will be no more pain
No more suffering, no more accusations, no more criticisms, no more punishment, no more
8. There are no older things anymore
Your old baggage will no longer pull you back. Old is gone.
9. God is making everything new
God is making everything new for you. What a beautiful place to be!
10. These people will never enter there
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Rev 21: 8)
These above-mentioned people will be sent to the lake of fire.
But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Rev 21: 27)
Only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be there!
