An End To The Suffering

When is this going to end? This is one of the most sought after questions during this pandemic.

The Bible answers.

The other day, I was reading the last few chapters of the Bible (from the book of Revelation). These words encouraged me. I am sure you too will be encouraged.

Behold, I make all things new

It is written:

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” (Rev 21: 5)

God assures us: I make all things new.

I want to encourage you today: The suffering is not going to last forever. God is going to put an end to all the suffering once and for all. He is going to make all things new. He is going to take us to a new world.

No more pain

It says

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. (Rev 21: 4)

You will never cry.

You will never die.

You will never be in sorrow.

You will never be in pain.

All the former things are going to pass away forever.

This is true

You can trust these words because God says

Write, for these words are true and faithful (Rev 21: 5)

What you are experiencing now is literally nothing compared to the eternal joy you will experience. The duration of your suffering is very less compared to the eternal happiness you will enjoy.

Who is going to inherit this privilege?

He who overcomes shall inherit!

God says:

He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. (Rev 21: 7)

God will give you the grace to overcome all the challenges that you are facing today. Hold on. Do not give up. The reward is waiting for you. Do not lose that great reward that God wants to give you on that day in return for all that you have suffered for Him. Let this hope motivate you to continue doing good. Do not be weary of doing good. Do not give in to temptation, anger, jealousy, pride and so on. These are all waiting to get hold of us and drag us to eternal hell.

God says again:

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Rev 21:8)

If you give in to sin, you will lose it forever.

If you do not overcome, you may end up in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone.

Do not miss it!

Therefore, my dear reader, this world is full of evil, injustice, suffering, pain and sorrow. This may or may not end. But God is going to take us to a new world, where there is no more pain and sorrow. God expects us to patiently wait till He returns to take us to heaven.  Remember His words: Behold, I make all things new.
