How a 'mystery' becomes a personal 'revelation'? MAL VIDEO

Many times we come across the word ‘mystery’ in the Bible. For example,

Col 1: 27
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

What does this mean?
Is it really possible to understand a Bible mystery?
Or is it only for priests, religious leaders to understand?
Can a layman understand and interpret what it means?
