By His Grace, I Completed 10 years of Blogging

My First Blog Post

I still remember the eight hours of writing, editing, thinking, and praying I poured into my first blog post (Welcome, click here to read) for HisVoiceOnline.com, shared on July 21, 2015. Today I complete 10 years by His grace. Thank you Lord Jesus. It was the Lord who put this thought in my heart to write. Since then, I have been writing with the help of God.

A Divine Call to Write

Here is what I do whenever I post a new article. Some thoughts cross my mind, it might be while reading the Bible or preparing for a sermon or a life incident. Immediately something within me pushes me (I believe it is the Holy Spirit) to write it as an article so that others can also read and benefit out of it. I believe it is because of this divine call, that I am compelled to write. Many times, I was not that inspired to write. But the moment I seek God for help, I get all the inspiration from God. I praise God for the help. Here is one of my favorite verse,

“for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” Luke 12:12.

So I trust God for new content from the Holy Spirit, and He has been my good teacher since I have met the Lord. This is amazing. Sometimes I cry out of joy when a word is revealed. Joy fills my heart. It may be a time after a long day, but this energy I get from above makes me forget all my tiredness and I want to somehow write it before I forget about it.

Seasons of dryness

Sometimes I have been lazy to write and keep it for later, which I would have forgotten many times. I regret about the lost content. Sometimes I make a note of it in my dairy or notepad or whatever paper is infront of me. Today when I look back, I feel I am so blessed to be able to write a lot of articles which are still ministering to people around the world. Even when I am sleeping, many articles are found useful for many people.

Do you feel less motivated? Just look at Christ, his light will cause you to shine.

Blog views & analytics

In the analytics of my dashboard, I can see what people often search in my blog, and what articles are read the most number of times. Some of the trending articles have been born from great pain and suffering. This is one article I wrote when I was going through a very tough time (https://hisvoiceonline.com/simple-steps-to-overcome-hurtful-words/). I was badly hurt and God helped me to get through those hurtful words spoken to me. Thank God I wrote all what I learned during those days, when I was hurting.

Bible says, “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” (2 Cor 1:4)

Has God given you something? It is time to share!

Sometimes I write for myself

Many times I write for myself. Later when I am in trouble, I can go back to my notes online. I might be in a place, where I badly need some spiritual content. If those are already written by me, when I was going through certain situations or when God has already comforted me, it is very easy to navigate through my blog and get recharged. So even if the articles are not viewed by a lot of people, I am blessed if atleast one person is edified or built up. One soul is valuable!

“Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.” (James 5:20)

Love you & Thank you!

During these 10 years, there were numerous people who have inspired me, blessed me, prayed for me and this ministry which I am doing. I am grateful to them, especially my wife, family, parents, my parents in law, relatives, friends, church members, colleagues and so on. Sometimes, I have even gone without writing for weeks and even months, many have asked me, about no content. But God was faithful, he keeps inspiring me, with new ideas, content and encouragement, which reminds me that, more than me, it is God who wants me to write about Him.

God wants to bless others through my content. Every time I look at His face, I keep on getting words to type. Thank you Jesus for your precious words and love. Help me Lord to continue writing and creating content as long as I am alive. I want to be a blessing to all the people God has placed in my life.

This blog opened many doors!

This is my prayer. I want to be blessing to all the people God would allow me to meet. This tool has been a channel of blessing. When I was in Malaysia, I even got an invitation to preach in a very old church.

This blog has helped the church team to know more about what I teach and preach. After the sermon, one uncle came to me and said, “I was really touched”, and he came to the Lord and got baptized after an year. Sometimes I was at owe when I see how God uses little things to do great things. Maybe one word or a small article inspires a person to come close to God. This is what inspires me to continue this blog. And I know it is a mission or an assignment given by God.

The More I Write, the More I Receive

One other thing I noticed is that, the more I write the more I get. Back then in 2015, I used to wait for hours or days to get a point or something to write, but eventually, I realized, when I am available, ready to write, God gives me more content instantly. Now, I just have to open the laptop, pray and keep writing, it comes and comes. Lord, thank you for the content.

I want to encourage you. Do you want to write or start a blog? Write to me. I will share with you resources to start a blog

Let’s Pray

I pray that God bless you and me in every area of life. Stay blessed. Do something for God in this generation. God has called you with a purpose. Each and every second counts. Let’s not imitate what others are doing, rather focus on what assignment God has uniquely entrusted to us.

Jesus said, “I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do” (John 17:4).

Can we say like this before we wind up our life on earth. Can we also resonate with Christ meaning the same words, I have completed the work “You” gave me to do. Do we know what God has entrusted us? Ask God, read Bible, pray and He will reveal step by step, one day at a time. He will walk with us and guide us.
